Associate General Counsel

Northern Kentucky University seeks a talented, versatile attorney to join its Office of Legal Affairs as an Associate General Counsel.  In this position, the Associate General Counsel will practice across the full range of higher education legal issues, with opportunities to build on existing relevant expertise and to develop additional practice areas.  Success in the position will require the attorney to embrace and master new areas of law and professional challenges. The Associate General Counsel will report to the General Counsel.

Candidates must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and must either possess a license to practice law in Kentucky or obtain such license during the first year of employment.  They should also have at least five years of quality legal experience.  Prior training in a sophisticated law firm or in-house environment would be ideal preparation for this position.  All relevant practice areas will be considered, including general practices in litigation, transactions, and employment.
