*Update: The obligation to report a nonimmigrant student’s change of address in SEVIS is separate and apart from the SEVP guidance issued early during the week of March 9, 2020 requiring institutions to report if they are providing online instruction in lieu of classroom instruction, to ensure that nonimmigrant students are making normal progress in a full course of study. The SEVP guidance did not specifically address students who leave the country; NAFSA reached out to SEVP for further clarification and the response they received is linked below:
