General Registration 

1. I am employed by an institution but have not received my bar results yet. Can I register for a meeting advertised to attorneys only?
   
   No.


2. Who can register for the Annual Conference/Lawyers New to Higher Education Workshop/CLE Workshops/General Counsel Roundtables?
   
   See eligibility criteria listed on each meeting’s registration page.


3. If I am a non-member from a member institution attending the meeting, which registration category should I select, and do I need to provide an endorsement letter?
   
   See registration fees and details listed on each meeting’s registration page. 


4. If I am a non-member from a non-member institution attending the meeting, do I need to provide an endorsement letter?
   
   See registration fees and details listed on each meeting’s registration page.


5. Can I partially attend the CLE Workshop or Annual Conference? (One Day vs. Two Days)
   
   Yes, please email the Meetings and Office Services Assistant to request a single day registration form. If you are going to attend more than one day, the full registration fee applies.


6. Can I attend both the Lawyers New to Higher Education Workshop and the General Counsel Roundtables?
   
   Yes.


7. Who can register for the General Counsel Institute?
   
   Only in-house counsel functioning as the Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel of their institution may register.


8. I am currently a non-member but I am in the process of applying for membership. May I receive the member registration rate?
   
   Yes, you may receive the member registration rate if your membership application has been preapproved by the Manager of Membership and Marketing and you have submitted a member registration form to the Meetings and Office Services Assistant prior to conclusion of the regular registration period for the Annual Conference or the early registration period for a CLE Workshop. If your registration is not submitted by the cutoff date you may still be eligible for a refund to the lowest applicable registration category after the Conference or Workshop if your application receives approval. To request that your membership application be submitted for preapproval please contact the Meetings and Office Services Assistant.


9. I need to cancel. Can another attorney attend in my place?
   
   Yes, but only if they meet the eligibility requirements. Please email the Meetings and Office Services Assistant for additional instructions and to request a registration form.

Speaker Registration 

1. If I’m a member speaker, moderator, discussion group leader and only coming to the CLE Workshop or Annual Conference for the session I am participating in, do I need to register?
   
   Yes. 


2. If I’m a member speaker, moderator, discussion group leader, or forum leader and only coming to the Annual Conference or CLE workshop for the session I am participating in, do I need to pay the registration fee?
   
   No. 


3. Do member speakers have to pay the registration fee?
   
   CLE Workshops: No. Annual Conference: Yes.


4. If I’m a non-member speaker at the Annual Conference or a CLE Workshop do I need to register?
   
   Yes.


5. If I’m a non-member speaker at the Annual Conference or a CLE Workshop and planning to attend sessions other than the session I am participating in, do I need to pay the registration fee?
   
   

   CLE Workshops: No. Annual Conference: Yes.

6. If I’m a non-member speaker at the Annual Conference or a CLE Workshop, does NACUA cover my travel expense?
   
   No, unless that has been specifically agreed to in advance by NACUA. 


7. Does NACUA cover member speaker travel/lodging expenses?
   
   

   CLE Workshops: No.  Annual Conference: No.

8. Do member moderators, discussion group leaders have to pay the registration fee?
   
   

   CLE Workshops: Yes.  Annual Conference: Yes.

9. Do session coordinators have to pay the registration fee?
   
   CLE Workshops: Yes, unless they are also speaking. Annual Conference: Yes.  


10. If I’m a leader of one of the General Counsel Roundtables at the Annual Conference, do I have to pay the registration fee for the roundtable?
    
    No. 


11. If I’m speaking at the Lawyers New to Higher Education Workshop, do I need to pay the registration fee for the workshop?
    
    No. 


12. If I am a recipient of a NACUA Award during that year’s Annual Conference, are my guests able to attend the Opening Reception following the Awards Ceremony for free?
    
    Yes. 

Miscellaneous  

1. Can I receive an advance copy of the attendee roster?

No, the attendee roster is sent to registered attendees a week before the conference. It is attached to the attendee checklist.


2. What is the binder of materials? Why does it cost extra?

The binder of materials contains paper copies of most of the session materials. CLE Workshop binders of materials are available for $129. The Annual Conference binder of materials is available for $229 to cover the cost of production. Attendees will automatically receive a link to access the materials online in the attendee checklist a week before the conference.
