Reports of sexual harassment often present challenging issues on college and university campuses. But when patients, including students and student-athletes, report experiencing sexual harassment at academic medical centers, student health centers, healthcare-related schools (e.g., medicine, nursing, etc.), or in the context of athletics trainers, there are unique patient care issues that must be approached with great sensitivity. Campus administrators must carefully consider and navigate a variety of legal considerations, from Title IX to the Clery Act to HIPAA and FERPA. This two-hour webinar will delve into the unique considerations for addressing sexual misconduct in the patient care context, such as:   

• The regulatory framework applicable to patient reports of sexual misconduct;
• Significant investigations/reviews at universities by the U.S. Departments of Education, Justice, and Health & Human Services;
