Free Speech and Campus Unrest

Who Should Attend?

This program is designed for any campus attorney currently addressing or advising on free speech issues. Senior campus leadership, student affairs professionals, campus police, and others who interface with students, speech, and protests may also benefit from this workshop.

How to Register

  1. Confirm your eligibility
  2. If you are a NACUA member you may register online using your NACUA username and password.
    • To pay with a Visa or MasterCard, please select "Credit Card" as payment option.
    • To pay by check, please select "Bill Me" as payment option. Print a copy of the invoice and mail to NACUA with payment. 
  3. If you are not a NACUA member but your institution is, you quality for the NACUA Member Institution Representative rate. Send a non-member registration form and endorsement letter to Sarah Romano at sromano@nacua.org. The letter must be from your institution's primary representative. To find out the name of your institution's Primary Representative, click here. Upon receipt of your registration form, NACUA will contact you via email, regarding payment (if applicable). 
  4. If you are not a NACUA member and neither is your institution, send a non-member registration form and endorsement letter to Sarah Romano at sromano@nacua.org. The letter must be from your institution's General Counsel or President. You must also affirm that you meet NACUA's eligibility requirement. Upon receipt of your registration form, NACUA will contact you, via email, regarding payment (if applicable).

Materials

Get everything you need for the February 2018 CLE Workshop online! With our easy to use web-based technology, participants can download materials in real time and take notes directly onto downloaded pages. Materials received prior to the workshop will be made available online before the event so that you can print what you need in advance. Please note that we will no longer be distributing hard copy binders on site. Hard copy binders are available for purchase for $129 and will be shipped 4-6 weeks after the February 2018 CLE Workshop.

Detailed information regarding how to access conference materials will be sent to registrants. NACUA staff will be onsite to offer assistance. If you have any questions regarding materials, please contact the NACUA office at 202-833-8390. 

1What is included in my registration fee?
Your registration fee includes: Entrance to all sessions, CLE credit fee, continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheon, reception, and pre- and online access to materials.

2Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be received in writing, via email, to Sarah Romano (sromano@nacua.org) no later than January 25, 2018. A refund of all fees, minus a $75 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received by that date. No refunds will be granted for requests submitted after January 25, 2018. NACUA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. *All refunds will be granted after the workshop.

3Photography
A professional photographer may be on site to document the meeting event and activities. Photographs and video footage are the sole property of NACUA. By registering for and/or attending this event, attendees understand that NACUA may use their likenesses for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify the photographer on site.
