Sally S. Harwood - 2008
Sally S. Harwood has served in Michigan State University’s in-house legal office for more than twenty years. She will be retiring from Michigan State University in July 2008. Prior to joining Michigan State University, Ms. Harwood served as Assistant Vice President, Bank of the Commonwealth, and Comerica Inc., and as an associate with the firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone. Before beginning her legal career, she served as a middle school teacher for Michigan’s Sault Ste. Marie Area Public Schools. She received her B.S. in Education from Central Michigan University and her J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School. She was admitted as a full member of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America in 2000.
Ms. Harwood has been a member of NACUA since 1987. She served on NACUA’s Board of Directors from 1999 to 2002. She has served on more than ten NACUA committees, including service as Vice Chair of the Committee on Program for the Annual Conference. She has served as a speaker, moderator, or discussion leader on twelve occasions for NACUA. She is recognized by her colleagues as collegial, selfless, and dedicated to her university community and to her fellow NACUA members.
