Assistant General Counsel

Summary:

This Assistant General Counsel position in the University of Kentucky Office of Legal Counsel provides legal advice and assistance to administrators and faculty throughout the University in all areas related to Research. This includes regulatory compliance, research misconduct, development of intellectual property, grant administration, and complex contracts related to research and intellectual property. The lawyer will work frequently with and report to the Senior Associate General Counsel designated for research and intellectual property matters. At times, the lawyer will work with other lawyers in the Office of Legal Counsel.

Requirements:

Juris Doctorate

At least 4 years employment experience in law, legal advising and counseling, and/or legal practice

Member of the Kentucky Bar Association or eligible within 6 months of start date
