Aleta Law is looking to add an Attorney Investigator to our team of investigations and resolutions specialists. This is a writing-intensive role, focused on writing reports related to allegations of highly sensitive complaints of sexual misconduct, sexual assault, Title IX violations, discrimination, harassment, civil rights violations, and bullying. Applicants must be strong writers with excellent organization skills, a natural curiosity, and strong attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience writing reports related to allegations of sexual misconduct, civil rights violations, and/or workplace investigations;

  • Superior writing skills and an ability to thoroughly, neutrally, and clearly analyze and explain complex information;

  • Emotional intelligence and strong verbal and written communication skills; and

  • An ability to work independently and simultaneously on multiple projects in a remote work environment.

Applicants with at least one year of relevant experience are preferred, though Aleta will also consider recent law school graduates with a demonstrated interest and ability to consistently produce an excellent written work product. Applicants must hold a J.D. degree.

It is critical for Aleta’s Attorney Investigators to treat all individuals engaged in the investigation processes with sensitivity and neutrality and maintain the strictest standards of confidentiality.

The ideal candidate for this position is a team player, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively with other attorneys and case managers. Attorney Investigators must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines. Excellent judgment in sensitive matters and a high degree of emotional intelligence are a necessity.

In addition, the candidate must possess superior research and organizational skills and strong technical skills, including mastery of Microsoft Office 365, including Adobe, and the ability to learn the firm’s document management and billing systems.

Aleta is a wholly remote law firm, and team members must be self-motivated and able to perform the role fully remotely while conducting business via Zoom, Teams, etc.

This position reports to the Managing Directors and Senior Director.

Starting salary of $100,000-$115,000, depending on experience.

Occasional travel is required for team retreats, training and/or conferences.
