Job Summary: The Director of Equity and Title IX will oversee the institution's efforts to prevent and address discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. This role involves managing investigations, providing training and education, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. The Director will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote an equitable campus environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Equity and Title IX Office, including personnel, budgets, and office operations. Conduct investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. Develop and deliver training programs related to civil rights compliance and Title IX. Interpret and apply complex laws, regulations, and guidance documents. Advise senior leaders on civil rights compliance, investigations, and policy development. Establish and maintain productive working relationships with students, staff, and faculty. Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Track and analyze incident trends, compliance efforts, and training programs using technology and case management systems.
