Workplace Investigator
Salary or Pay Range: $99,400.00 - $196,400.00
Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) the investigator independently investigates allegations that staff members have violated University policy. This includes conducting highly sensitive, critical, confidential, and time-sensitive investigations.
This investigator conducts interviews, collects and reviews material evidence, and prepares high quality written reports. In their reports, the investigator summarizes and analyzes the evidence, then reaches factual and policy findings.
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
• Juris doctor degree plus one year of experience conducting administrative investigations into complex matters, such as allegations of abusive conduct, workplace violence, hostile work environment; or bachelor's degree plus three years of experience conducting administrative investigations into complex matters.
• Demonstrated experience preparing thorough, neutral, and well-written reports that make factual findings and discuss relevant laws or policies.
• Experience independently investigating complex and sensitive employment complaints and allegations
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices and methodologies for conducting investigations, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence.
• Demonstrated oral communication abilities, including skill and experience interacting with constituents who are diverse in characteristics such as age, education level, race, ability, socioeconomic background, and gender identity and expression.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience independently investigating complex and sensitive employment allegation in a University or health care setting.
